ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
“The acting classes I taught last year in Paris were some of the of the most rewarding, fun, creative classes I have been blessed to teach. Students from around the globe came to participate. Since I’m not able to be in Paris this summer we decided to bring the class online – and make the class even more widely available.
Spend one night a week with me for four weeks, focusing on a preselected text. We worked this way the last time I taught at BAW, and it was an amazing tool to show students just how different a single piece of text can be. Since each of us brings our own experiences to our work, we will explore what it means to make the text personal to you. Discover what makes you unique and use it to strengthen all you work, from the audition process to the actual character development. We will examine the text, get under the characters, and figure out their wants and needs – then figure out how YOU can bring your truth to what you’ve discovered.
We will also attempt some emotional prep (may be tricky online), monologue work, and scene work from the selected text. Hope to see some of my old students and some friendly new faces.”
Looking forward to connecting again,
Previous acting class experience is recommended for this course.
The price of the workshop is 225€. Payment can be made using the PayPal button on the right of this page.
