Celia Anne Browne is an endorsed and master teacher of the Eric Morris System of Acting, a long time Yoga and Meditation teacher and the creator of The Conscious Actor practices. The contemporary actor is relaxed, open, activated to create opportunities and Infinitely creative. She encourages each proactive actor to ignite their courage as an explorer on a quest for truthful and compelling expression and deepen their compassionate understanding of the human condition while also unlocking their authentic self-as an actor, an artist and a person.
Celia Anne has an extensive background in the arts. Dance was her first love. She was born into a thespian family who ran a theater in Montauk in the Hamptons and who also produced in NYC. As an actress, she has experience in theater, film, and television. Credits include many original plays at Playwrights Horizons, Second Stage, Theater for the New City, and Ensemble Studio Theatre, New York Stage and Film and several stages on Theatre Row in NYC and in Los Angeles. She also played in soap opera and independent films. As well as an Actress, Celia has worked as a Producer, Director, Writer, Agent and Casting Director.
Longing to expand her experience, she shifted her focus from professional acting to the teaching of Yoga and Meditation. Distinguished producers, directors, and actors have been some of her favorite students. She was on staff at the award-winning Cornerstone Theater Company in LA for six years..
Other wonderful study of the acting craft has included the Acting program at Emerson College, Circle In The Square and New Actors Workshop in NYC, the conservatory of the late greats George Morrison, Mike Nichols, and Paul Sills. This is her fifth year on the faculty of Bilingual Acting Workshop Paris, each year a great gift and joy. She teaches workshops and coaches Internationally.
