Alexa began her studies at NYU, Tisch School of The Arts, studying at Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg and one term at Playwrights Horizons Theatre school where she was offered a role in their production of The Handmaids Tale. Her professor Michael Early then encouraged her to go to study at The prestigious Drama Centre London. She auditioned and was accepted and accomplished the 3 year acting programme; as part of Group 29 graduating along with fellow actors Anne Marie Duff and Paul Bethany.

Tessa Schneiderman who directed the graduating 3rd years in Spring Awakening then took Alexa straight into her Theatre Company, Loose Change, giving her the lead role in the then to be award winning production of Roosters at BAC.

Alexa’s career continued steadily in theatre at film and TV, working with many well known directors such as John Glenn, James Cellan Jones and Peter Greenaway.
