Emotional Preparation For Film: Acting For The Close-Up

Emotional Preparation For Film: Acting For The Close-Up

Acting for the ‘close up’ is the most intimate moment in film.  Bilingual Acting Workshop’s artistic director Amy Werba, will teach students the emotional preparation taught by her mentors Lee Strasberg and Shelley Winters in addition to her own methods, developed over years of experience.

Actors will learn how to capture truthfulness as well as maintaining the privacy of that heightened moment during a filming close up.

This workshop will use sense memory and affective memory, private moments, emotional recall, creative imagination techniques, relaxation and character development as well as moment to moment working with text as the core of her teachings.
