Elise McLeod is a Paris based Australian theatre and film director who holds a degree in film making from the University of Paris VIII. She has directed several short films including Love, lies and the internet & Geisha, as well as music video clips.

Elise has directed numerous plays, most recently Toutes Coupables and Revoir Amelie at the Théâtre Gymnase. She is currently preparing a new play, sept pieds sous terre, which will be performed at La Vielle Grille. She also directed Shady Ladies for the Melbourne comedy festival, the outstanding Le Chat du Rabbin by Joann Sfar at "Le Temple" (it also played at the "Theatre Michel Galabru" for a year and toured Montreal, Canada), Moments of Erotica by Rose Desena at "Atelier Theatre de Montmarte", and Baby with the Bathwater with Sei Shiomi (performed at "Les Voutes").

Elise also works as a 1st director in the French film and television industry. She has worked on films such as Nos Amis les Terriens by Bernard Werber and produced by Claude Lelouche, L'Aventure by Xavier Giannolli, L'Idole by Samantha Lang with Leelee Sobieski and James Hong, Saint Ange by Pascale Laugier with Lou Doillon and Virginie LeDoyen, and Le Carton by Charles Nemes with Vincent Desagnat and Armelle Deutsch amongst others.
