Clarence Tokley is a Paris-based teacher, filmmaker, and writer. A native of New Jersey, Clarence attended Rutgers University, obtaining a degree in History and Film Studies. After graduating, he worked with kids and teens as a social worker for 8 years while also writing and working as a filmmaker and creator. He dove into any form of expression he could find and worked on whatever projects he could get into; everything from theatre, spoken word, and cinema. To refresh himself Clarence attended the New York Film Academy in New York City, then packed up everything and moved to Paris, wanting to get a taste of the European style of storytelling. He fully immersed himself in the film industry and quickly landed his first job in Paris. Some of his credits include Rush Hour 3, Truth in 24 (Audi Le Mans racing Doc), Exes, and the Cherry Orchard. Clarence has also worked as an Assistant Director with the theatre company Theatre en Anglais and does voice-over work in Paris. Along with his duties as teacher of the BAW Teen and Youth Acting courses, he is the director of children and teen camps in France. When he's not teaching, Clarence continues to work professionally in film and theatre production in and around Paris. Clarence has a strong love for creating and collaboration. He wishes to continue exploring his craft and growing as an artist and person.
